Calian is currently seeking a civilian Psychologist to work with the Canadian Forces members at CFB Gagetown. You will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our service members by helping to prepare them for deployment and working with them upon their return from duty.



Job Description:

For some military members returning home the psychological and social effects of operations may not become apparent for months or years. These effects could include substance abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, somatic complaints, relationship problems and family stress. This unique opportunity will allow you to work in partnership with military healthcare providers

promoting wellness and providing timely interventions that support and empower military members to achieve their highest level of functioning – both at work and at home.

Your Contribution:


  • Administer full range of diagnostic tests for psychometric assessments, interpret results and prepare psychological evaluations

  • Direct treatment of general mental health disorders including PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders

  • Lead and participate in development, instruction and counselling during group sessions

  • Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment

  • Assist in the identification, development and evolution of mental health programming

Mandatory Qualifications:


  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology

  • Registration for Autonomous practice in Clinical Psychology with the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick

  • Minimum two years experience in a health service institution

  • Experience with diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders

  • Experience performing psychometric assessments, interpret results and prepare psychological evaluations
