Batch Mixing Superstar Needed! Management Opportunity!
Our client is a well known, international food processing company. They have been in operation for nearly 40 years. They are currently seeking a seasoned Batch Mixer/Line Lead to join their Richmond team. This location boasts a close knit staff with a team oriented, positive attitude. In this position, you can expect detailed orientation and training, with many opportunities to participate in professional development workshops and seminars. Participate in as many of these opportunities as possible; this position is intended to develop into a management role, but it will depend on your involvement and demonstration of dedication!
Responsibilities-What You’ll Do
- Operate sheer mixers, transfer pumps, processing valves, and controls
- HTST processing
- Follow a precise formula for each unique batch: measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately
- Accurate recording of components, lot numbers, sanitation, CPP’s
- Operate a manual or electric pallet jack
- Accurate programming of metered components to large/small batches
- Monitor output: PH meters, temperature, refractometers
- Report production and inventory data
Requirements-What You’ll Need
- 2-3 years in a food or beverage processing facility
- Basic math skills: conversions, fractions, ratios
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Knowledge of GMP and HAACP
- Automation experience, PLC knowledge a STRONG asset
- Lift truck certified
- First Aid Level 2 or higher

This is a full time, permanent position Monday to Friday for a second shift 2:30pm until 11:00pm Monday
The starting wage will be $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits after 3 months, plus 2 weeks vacation after 1 year
