Our Client, a prominent National Law Firm is actively searching for an Associate to join its busy Employment & Labour law practice in Vernon, B.C. This individual must have a stable employment background with a minimum of three (3) years to a maximum of five (5) years of related working experience at a medium to large sized law firm.
Membership in good standing with the British Columbia Bar Association is necessary, as well as a strong academic background from a reputable law school.
This is a fast paced office and the candidate must have the ability to work autonomously, with strong communication, analytical and writing skills. This position offers you the opportunity to become a member of the Firm’s Employment and Labour law team. You will be providing direct assistance to the lead Lawyer of this department.
Trial experience is required as is knowledge of rights and responsibilities under federal and provincial laws. Our Client specializes in resolving disputes concerning wrongful dismissal and severance, human rights, workers’ compensation as well as all other responsibilities and duties of a lawyer specializing in employment and labour law. It requires a lawyer who is a hard worker and is willing to aggressively push cases in an efficient manner.
