Our Client is a market leading engineering consulting firm. They have an unsurpassed reputation in the industry for excellence in design, commissioning and project management specializing in design build and restoration projects for Commercial, Institutional and Residential Buildings.
Currently they have a requirement for an intermediate or senior level Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager with Green Building Design and consulting expertise for their Winnipeg location. This individual will oversee exciting projects from start to finish across Manitoba.
If you are a LEED accredited mechanical engineer or you have 2-3 years experience working on Green Building design/build or retrofit projects with experience in the consulting sector and then we would like to speak with you.

Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all phases of green building design, construction and certification to the LEED Canada Green Building Rating System
- Lead integrated design workshops and develop innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of new and existing buildings
- Minimize utility costs for building owners and operators through energy assessment of building designs
- Manage a team of junior Project Coordinators, Green Buildings
- Prepare engineering specifications and proposals for presentation to clients
- Project Manage key Green Building design build projects overseeing: Design, Design Review, Construction, Certification, Cost Estimates, Budgets, Contractor terms, Scheduling, Commissioning, Client Meetings, Coaching & Mentoring
Requirements:
- Bachelo r’s degree in mechanical engineering or C.E.T.
- P.Eng status is an asset (though not mandatory)
- Minimum 3-5+ years experience in green building design, project management and construction/contract management
- LEED accreditation is an asset (though not mandatory)
- Thorough understanding of the design of building systems
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
