Junior Baker (Dining Centre-University of Calgary)
Position Summary
Position: Junior Baker
Hourly Wage $13.24 - 14.15
Location: Dining Centre, University of Calgary, NW Calgary
Overview: This position will be providing baked goods required for the Dining Centre at the University. This is an 8 hour shift starting at 6:00 am.
Duties:
- Bake using conventional oven and microwave oven
- Maintain and stock baking/finishing area
- Provide support to Cooks preparing food
- Maintaining work area and equipment exceptionally clean
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Ensure strict compliance with Compass’ Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations
Qualifications Required Qualifications (please only apply if you meet all required qualifications):
- 1-2 years experience baking / producing high volume products
- Must be able to clear a criminal records check
- Able to work alone and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Well organized, demonstrates a sense of urgency
- Able to communicate with co-workers and the management team
