Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $19.00 to $26.45 Hourly, 40.00 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible
Location: Vancouver - Central Area, British Columbia (2 vacancies)
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Bulldozer, large or small Type of Work Experience: Fine grading and finishing, Landscaping, Demolition, Ditching, Land clearing, Stripping, Trenching, Snow removal
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Residential construction Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Operate computer controlled equipment, Secure special attachments to equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment, Operate hydraulic pumping systems
Additional Skills:Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety vest
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Physically demanding, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Outdoors Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer, Public transportation is not available Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making
