Title:Long haul truck driver ( Canada - US ROUTES ) (NOC: 7411)
Terms of Employment:Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary:$23.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months):As soon as possible

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience:1 year to less than 2 years
Languages:Speak English

Type of Travel:Long-haul, Provincial/territorial, National, International
Documentation Knowledge:Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Communication Equipment Experience:Cellular phone
Weight Handling:Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills:Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Security and Safety:Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Transportation/Travel Information:Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills:Working with others, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning
Other:Functional knowldge of English is must. Selected candidate will be driving flatbeds, Super-B Trains & containers on Canada-US routes.Overtime will be paid after 60 working hours in a week.
