Chief Engineer / First Class - PERMANENT
PAY:                               $95K - $100K salary + benefits Day 1 + pension plan + bonus
LOCATION: Carberry, Manitoba** (relocation assistance provided)
** population 1,500
** southern Manitoba in between Winnipeg (capital city of MB) and Brandon (second largest city in MB)
** many people live in nearby Brandon (pop. 43,000), which is 35 min. from Carberry
COMPANY:   well-established, world-wide food product producer 
Qualifications / Requirements:
* First (1st) Class Power / Stationary Engineer certification - Inter Provincial OR Standardized OR Manitoba certification
* 5 yrs+ supervisory experience
* Solid understanding of proactive maintenance systems as well as continuous improvement / LEAN strategies
* Understanding of energy conservation methods / systems
* Experience with refrigeration systems and water treatment operations
* Any experience with steam generators, bio-gas an asset
* Results-oriented team player with excellent communication skills 
* Excellent supervisory and problem solving skills 
* Strong computer skills  
Responsibilities:
* Operation and maintenance of a 1st Class powerhouse that includes ammonia and refrigeration systems
*  Along with the Plant Engineer and Maintenance team, provide support and  direction to tradespeople in maintaining the reliability of boiler and  refrigeration and water treatment services
*  Administrative responsibilities include: budget control, task / time  scheduling using CMMS as well as electronic reports as required
* Supervision of contracted services within the factory as required
* Assist factory teams in developing areas of opportunity 
* With support from other Leaders, ensure a safe and healthy work environment
* Other duties as required
