POSITION SUMMARY: To Distrust Sales Manager will manage the sales activities at a district level & ensure that optimum revenue & profitability goals are met in accordance with company objectives and budgetary requirements. |
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITI ES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Manage a small team of sales staff Develop & implement sales strategies to facilitate increased sales productivity Liaise with management & operational staff to ensure company objectives & strategies are accomplished. assist sales staff in identifying & developing individual portfolios. Prepare annual sales budget Ensure applicable sales reports are completed on time. Monitor sales activity of staff & take appropriate action where necessary. Ensure staff receives appropriate training. Develop performance plans for staff in accordance with company policies. Manage sales expenses in accordance with budgetary guidelines. Make personal and joint sales calls. Evaluate personnel on yearly basis. |
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS In addition to initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and being a team player: Community College or University degree preferred Minimum of 5 years local sales experience in freight forwarding and/or logistics Strong decision making & leadership skills Able to motivate personnel Strong communicative, analytical & administrative skills CIFFA and/or CITT graduate an asset Knowledge of International freight forwarding services and budget processes Sales organization and sales reporting Proficient in the use of sales management software systems |
