Title:Long haul truck driver (NOC: 7411)
Terms of Employment:Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary:$23.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months):As soon as possible

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience:1 year to less than 2 years
Languages:Speak English

Documentation Knowledge:Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Communication Equipment Experience:Cellular phone
Weight Handling:Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills:Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Plan travel schedules and routes, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Security and Safety:Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Transportation/Travel Information:Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills:Working with others, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning
Other:Functional knowledge of English and clean driver's abstract is must.Selected candidate will be driving on Canada (AB,BC,Ontario)-US routes.Overtime will be paid after 60 working hours in a week.
