Administrative Assistant/Adjoint administrative
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory – Consolidated Testing, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the Laboratory Manager – Consolidated Testing in accordance with CBS’ Corporate Quality Policy. Assigned duties will be performed in accordance with the objectives, guidelines and requirements of Canadian Blood Services.
- Prepare month end reports for the Head Office for use by the Testing Laboratory;
- Coordinate the submission of employee timesheets;
- Assist with the creation and revision of centre derived documents;
- Order supplies for the Laboratory Manager – Consolidated Testing office and for other departments in the Testing Laboratory;
- Organizes travel arrangements;
- Ensures SAPtimekeeping & scheduling functions are completed;
- Sort and distribute mail;
- Responsible for filing and the maintenance of the filing system;
- Assist with preparation of presentation and reports for analysis of data;
- Arrange meetings, conference calls and prepare meeting minutes as required;
- Participate in various projects
Required Skills
- Minimum two years administrative assistant experience
- High School Diploma with some college courses in Office Administration an advantage
- Excellent communication skills including legible handwriting required
- Superior multi-tasking skills required
- Excellent administrative skills including typing, filing, and recording skills essential
- Ability to work as a team and independently
- Detail-oriented and capable of working in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent MS Office, e-mail, and scanning skills required
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job required
- Experience with SAPan asset
