We have a career opportunity available for an HR & Safety Manager located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage Human Resources functions on a daily basis, manage employee issues, benefits, safety, orientations, recruiting, payroll back up, etc.
• Manage Safety duties on a daily basis, conduct inspections, accident investigations, training, ensure compliance with OH&S and CSA standards
• Building employee relations, train all employees on safety and HR policies and procedures, conduct annual internal safety audits, external every 3 yr
• Work closely with department managers to continuously improve safety within the facility
• Maintain COR (certificate of recognition) for Safety
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Safety, or a related field
• MHSA training - Safety Basics, Hazard Assessment & Analysis, Safety Auditor certification, effective disability management, Supervisor Training
• Safety oriented with strong communication skills to interact with employees at all levels and manage WCB claims effectively
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and focus on continuous improvement
