Family Support/Outreach Worker position is available in Home Visitation Programs
(Best Babies, Building Blocks and Healthy Start)
Brooks, Alberta
Part-time – 21 hrs/week. Hours may increase for first six months
Salary negotiable -Generous Extended Benefits and vacation time offered.
Home Visitation Programs provide early intervention and strength based support to families through regular home visits. This position will provide information, support and service coordination to families and children from birth to six years in Brooks and surrounding areas. Applicants must be highly motivated, energetic, have strong organization and communication skills and be able to work both independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Applicants must have:
- A diploma or degree in a related Human Service Field, a Child and Youth Care Certificate or three years related experience in a Human Service Field.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience in family support practice.
- A valid driver’s license, daily use of an insured and registered vehicle for business purpose and an acceptable driver’s record, as verified by a Driver’s Abstract.
- Acceptable Criminal and Child Intervention Records Check
An understanding of the diversity, customs and traditions of Aboriginal peoples and diverse multi-cultural populations is considered an asset.
Travel is required for this position. Mileage is reimbursed for employment related travel.
