The Role:
Reporting to the Service Manager out of our Chetwynd, BC location. You will provide mechanical support and expertise to some of the largest mobile mining equipment in the world. You will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting.
Make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement
Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner
Think logically and keep up with changes in technology
Interpret work orders and technical manuals
Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety
Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician trades ticket
Requires a thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of Komatsu mining equipment
Ability to follow instruction, utilize shop and assembly manuals
Able to work in an outdoor environment with adverse conditions
Shovel, dragline and construction experience would be an asset
