Company Profile

Our client is a well-established company specialized in providing machining and manufacturing solutions to industries like mining, agriculture, chemical, oil/gas etc. We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector who has the ability to also assume a shop planner role to provide direct support to the Machine Shop Manager, and Manual and CNC Shop Foreman. This position will manage all aspects of the quality control system including inspections, calibrations and reporting. Assuming the planner role, the position will maintain the Manual and CNC shop schedules and provide AutoCAD and technical support as required.

















Responsibilities

  • Moni tor the quality and on-time delivery of purchased materials and consumables and deal directly with suppliers to resolve issues

  • Assisting in the quoting and scheduling of all machine shop work

  • Work with CNC shop and manual shop foreman to ensure shared work orders are properly schedules to ensure due date conformance

  • Work with manual and CNC shop foreman to maintain required inventories of finished goods and plan and schedule work orders to replenish stock or fill p.o.’s from customers

  • Work directly with the manual and CNC shop foreman to update the schedule and ensure due date compliance

  • Final planning of all machine shop work


















Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of machine shop and fabrication shop processes is mandatory

  • Strong mechanical drawing interpretation skills and geometric dimensioning and tolerance knowledge

  • Able to efficiently and accurately use conventional inspection tools for the inspection of machined and fabricated components

  • Knowledg e of welding/fabricating process and welding symbols

  • ISO knowledge/experience

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Accpac, and Auto CAD

  • Strong organizational skill

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make relationships with fellow employees, customers and vendors
