Title:Long haul truck driver (NOC: 7411)
Terms of Employment:Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary:$54,000.00 Yearly, for 40.00 Hours per week, Medical Benefits
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months):As soon as possible

Skill Requirements: Education:Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience:No experience
Languages:Speak English

Type of Travel:Long-haul, Regional, Provincial/territorial
Documentat ion Knowledge:Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports
Communication Equipment Experience:Cellular phone
Weight Handling:Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills:Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform preventive maintenance
Transportation/Travel Information:Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's licence
