Inside Sales Representative
MEC has been a preferred supplier for more than 25 years to clients in the mining, oil & gas, utility, steel, and pulp & paper industries with specialization in consulting engineering, substation construction, and field services. We currently have offices in Saskatoon, Regina, Swift Current, Winnipeg and Calgary and are an innovative and growing organization intent on expanding and diversifying our operations.
We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative based out of the Winnipeg office. The Rep will be primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of sales at the corporate level. Duties will include initiating and coordinating the sale of services to MEC clients, generating sales leads/opportunities by responding to client bids and proposals and assist in large company tenders, as well as develop rapport with new and existing clients of MEC. The Rep will respond to phone and email requests for quotes in a timely manner, as well as gain knowledge on existing and prospective clients in order to remain proactive and seek out new opportunities and chances to up-sell MEC services. The Rep will also be responsible for coordinating timelines, schedules, producing and maintaining MEC documentation and other logistics as it relates to MEC services.
Successful candidates for this role must possess:
- Experience and/or knowledge of electrical power systems; high voltage experience will be considered an asset
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical skills and past experience in the electrical industry
- Ability to work as a team player; contribute towards the team’s goals and demonstrate commitment
- A strong attention to detail and exceptional organization skills
- Enthusiasm and initiative to generate new business leads and increase the exposure of MEC’s services
